Tenkara level line that switches between orange and yellow every 50cm (1.5 feet)
Easily visible fishing line with color-changing features: bright orange on sunny days and dark yellow in dull light or backlit situations for optimal stealth and success. As a tenkara angler, having the ability to see clearly in any lighting situation is a major benefit that cannot be overlooked. River Peak two color level line
Fished the #6 level today. I used a 4.0m/13' rod with an 18' line and 4' of 5x tippet. The line cast great and easily handled a variety of fly types and sizes.
Great sensitivity as each strike was telegraphed both visually and tactilely.
Visibility is outstanding! If you have problems maintaining visual contact with your line, especially across a range of backgrounds, this is the line for you. It was a good day to test it because I fished through a wide range of light conditions starting off with early morning low light conditions, moving to bright afternoon sun, and had a couple periods of gray overcast and in each situation the multi colored pattern on this line jumped out of the back ground. It was almost like having a 18' strike indicator!
Definitely has earned a permanent place in my quiver of lines.
Chuck,
Your words mean a lot to me, sir, and I take them to heart. If someone of your caliber says something works and plans to keep it in their lineup, that speaks volumes. I genuinely enjoy this line—though it feels a bit thick at first, I’ve found it easier to cast compared to thinner lines that tend to get caught in the summer winds. I agree, especially with the sun and overcast skies these days, I’m not getting any younger, and it is becoming harder for me to see the line move. Stay safe
